A brief explanation of some common dental procedures performed at Epperson Payne Dental Group:
Dental implants: This is how a patient permanently replaces one or more missing teeth. The alloy post is surgically placed in your jawbone by our dentist and functions like a natural tooth root. After the post fuses with your jawbone, you’ll receive your customized new tooth made from highly durable and beautiful zirconia, which is permanently attached to the post. Dentures can also be secured to dental implants.
Gum Grafts: This treatment helps cover exposed roots due to recession. This helps decrease sensitivity, improve esthetics and can increase the lifespan of your natural teeth.
Root Canals: This is a great treatment when looking to save a tooth that is causing you problems. When a patient undergoes a root canal the inflamed or infected nerve of the problem tooth is removed, and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected. Then it is filled and sealed. Our doctors at Epperson Payne Dental Group traditionally complete a root canal in two separate appointments.
Veneers: Created from durable porcelain material, veneers are composed of a thin shell that is placed over the front of the affected tooth. Dental veneers are a good, conservative, solution for correcting a variety of cosmetic concerns, including chips, cracks, stains, and misshapen teeth.
Wisdom Teeth Removal: In most instances we recommend removal of wisdom teeth especially in teens and young adults. If these teeth are not removed prior to your 30s they can be a chronic problem throughout life.
